 DCA Dinner - October 19, 2023
We were pleased to host the Annual DCA Dinner at Imperial Golf Club on October 19th. We welcomed a panel of judges from the Sixth DCA including Chief Judge Dan Traver, Judge Joshua Mize, and Judge Roger Cannam. We were also proud to present the 2023 Lion of the Law to J. Michael Coleman, who joins the illustrious group fondly know as "The Lions". And finally, three brand new lawyers took their oath from Judge Traver. Congratulations to Katherine Ramos-Bigley, Kelsey Holmberg, and Alexander Goodermote. See the pictures! Foundation Golf Classic - October 13, 2023
After a break due to Hurricane Ian, the Annual Golf Classic was back! Our intrepid golfers did not allow a little (ok a lot) of rain to dampen their enthusiasm for a great day on the links. After several starts and stops due to the deluge we finally threw in the towel and enjoyed the wonderful food and amenities that Bear's Paw had to offer. Proceeds from the event benefited the Collier County Mock Trial Competition of area high school students. Save the date for 2024 - October 4th at Bear's Paw. We'll see you there! We had a great time at this annual celebration of our CCBA leaders! Judge Christine Greider brought some levity to the occasion by having each board member select a walk-on song - it was so much fun! The CCBA was honored to have Florida Supreme Court Justice Carlos Muniz as our keynote speaker for our annual Law Week celebration. Judge Lauren Brodie was recognized for her work on the Attorney Wellness Initiative and was named the Medal of Honor awardee for 2023. Damian Taylor was recognized for his philanthropic work in our community and was awarded the Rebecca Vaccariello Service Award.
